Primulinum In-Charm x Self Journey Log

This is my Primulinum In-Charm; primmie-prim-prim is what I call her. She has a soft floral fragrance that smells like puppy/dog shampoo, oats & honey with a hint of lavender.

I was given a suggestion to self-breed Primmie by a paph grower I recently got acquainted with-- to be honest, the thought never occurred to me, and I got excited. My original plan was to breed her with my fragrant Delenatii to make a Deperle; unfortunately, it looks like he won't be blooming anytime soon. And if he does, I can save the pollen capsules for next time!

So, these will be my log records.

I'll update you guys if she takes it.

In the back is already starting to brown. And there’s this gelatin-looking substance forming on pollen capsules and stigma.

Primulinum flower fell.

Very nice! I really want to get a primulinum, but most of the ones I've seen in recent years make me think they aren't "pure" primulinum and regardless they're not fragrant, which is one of the main features I'm after with this species.

I got my prim from Etsy(mysterygardenstore). The guy was selling only three at the time. And I snatched one up. I didn’t know there were “fakes” until after the fact.

Maybe message him to see if he has any?

Second bloom looks kind of different compared to the first. Is that normal?

11/5/23 update:

It’s been four days since the third bloom “officially” opened, yet it still hasn’t completely opened. Now the fragrance is twice as strong! It’s a lovely floral scent
