I expect it would be pandamonium in my house if I hooked up my plants to that devise. All the plants moving back and forth to get their prefered light levels...
There has been a lot of speculation about a plant "nervous" system and this will no doubt encourage that debate.
It would interesting to hook up different types of orchids and let them "choose" their own prefered light levels. It could tell us a lot about what the plant thinks is best for it.
