Margaret From is definitely one of the top orchid conservationist working around the world. You cab read about her help in saving cyp candidum in Nebraska http://www.orchidconservationcoalition.org/hl/cypcandidum.html

Our society did a similar rescue a couple years ago. We placed them in a couple local conservatories. I think they are still there, but had to be protected from the deer.
