    First time flowering for me. Not kidding about the long leaves, I did not realise how big they get, and the new growth will be even bigger.

    Yep, I was going to say, if you think the first growth is big, just wait. Decent color on the flower and great petal stance. I'd say you did well.

    Very nice longifolium and they do get BIG. However, once they reach mature
    size this beauty blooms a lot. Very enjoyable species.

    Yeah, I have one of these as well - aptly named for sure! For a while I made leaf trusses out of wire to try and hold them up from dragging on the bench. I finally gave up. It makes up for it by growing fast though ;).
