Nice J-P; about what you would expect from this breeding.
Thanks! Tom,

My answer would be to get more compact hybrids…

But as always my first goal is always to understand and validate the results of the transmission and expression of the genes in the hybridization of Phragmipediums.

J-P you are correct...'s is possessive. Your self taught English is quite good.

Your bloom looks very like Phrag. Rosy Gem 'Roseum' which is Cardinale x Sedenii and
is blooming now in my greenhouse with three blooms. Might these two be cousins????

Many thanks! I did register many crosses using a 's ... :)
And yes! Both are relative crosses using almost the same species, Rosy Gem is 62.5% schlimii + 37.5% longifolium.
And this one is 50% pearcei + 25% schlimii + 25% longifolium.
This cross is showing more influences from the pearcei, in size and with longish and twisted petals…
