It's not a bloom but about the next best thing. I could barely contain my excitement today. A new growth emerging from a mossy layer. This is from Tom Kalina of Fox Valley and is nearly 10 years out of the flask, Phrag. vittatum 'Birchwood' x self. I just hope it is not another 10 years before it blooms:).

Any one else out there having some luck with their P. vittatum?

Max, I’m away, visiting my mom. But before I left, in another thread, I said I would share a pic of my humble vittatum, which is equally flowerless. I took a couple of snapshots on Wed. (I think). I got a division of a plant from Bill Goldner in early 2019. You can see the distinctive yellow margins, particularly on the younger leaf in the closer shot. Getting pretty well established, but no flowers yet. I’m thinking about giving it more sun exposure.

Thank you, are you treating it the same as your other phrags? I would be curious to know about how old the mother plant is and if it has bloomed out yet.
