Our Phrag collection is growing rapidly. We recently acquired a large number of plants from Ecuagenera. When the Santa Barbara show was cancelled we bought most of the Phrags they had brought with them. It helped make the best of a bad situation. They got rid of a bunch of plants and we got to find some gems like this Phrag Peruflora's Circle Alca (kovachii x dalessandroi). The stem is a bit short but then it was bare-root and shipped a month ago. Day 3 and the flower has stayed flat!
The plant and its pollen have been put to work on the stud bench. For years we got very little germination from Phrags. I'm not quite sure what has changed but the last lab report indicated that we will be overrun with Phrag flasks in the coming months.
