Yay besseae hybrids! I think I've only seen one non-flavum one as nice. thanks for sharing.
Regarding your question, if it was made with pearcei v. ecuadorense the likelihood of it holding multiple blooms per stem is higher than one with regular pearcei as a parent.

Your spike has branched. Branched spikes can aways hold more flowers then non-branched spikes. Nice flowers.
