I measured with my light meter today on an unusually sunny day
for Feb. and the reading is 3500 foot candles. The readings are
generally the same with the LEDS on for eight hours without the
sunlight. Interesting outcome. My source for definitions states
that lumens and foot candles are the same thing. Correct? I have
been shopping for GE93101230 BR30 LED grow and having trouble
finding them and I need 16 for my fixtures which is quite expensive.
Any suggestions? Perhaps too much light? Most of the Phrags are
a nice light green and blooming/growing well with the exception
of brown tips on some of the plants. Observations please?

1 foot-candle is 1 lumen/square foot, so you need to consider the coverage area of the lamps at the height above the plants you have the fixture.

The bulbs you are seeking are 9 watt LED grow lights. In my opinion, you'd do just as well to use "warm white" LED floodlights of the same wattage. I have used the 2700K version of THESE - now $2.95 each.

Ray you suggested what I already have! Now I feel
reassured. I thought the 3500 ft.cn. might be far
too much light and lacking the "full spectrum". I've
been reading too much advertising. Oh my, suckered
again.

Angela, there is no question that the full-spectrum bulbs would be better, but in my opinion, nowhere near 5x the price better...
