I think the plant has a bright future.

Massive new root growth and at least four new growths out of seven mature ones.

This plant drinks water like I used to drink beer in University...thirsty, thirsty, thirsty.

Regret to report I don't know.

I bought this from a members table at a SOOS show three years ago. No information other than the tag.

Anyone else know who first bred this cross?

I had to look it up. The spelling is kaieteurum, and RHS doesn't recognize it as a species. Phragweb says it's a synonym for lindleyanum, and ecuadorense is a variety of pearcei. Lindleyanum x pearcei hasn't been registered.

Dot.

Thanks for catching the spelling error. I transcribed the tag correctly and just figured it was correct as I had never seen or spelled it before....my bad (as my daughter would say).

Don't take the blame -- I wouldn't know if I hadn't looked it up. I have to correct tags fairly often.
