Yay besseae hybrids! It's hard to tell but is it Eric Young flavum?

Eric Yes -and there are 2 more buds hiding behind the bloom, so it's a happy orchid.

Definitely besseae flavum. Regular besseae would not give that color.

It's amazing the way in which Phrags. can surprise us. I
didn't expect this at all from the name of the plant. It's
rather pretty and the colors delicate.

I have a Mountain Maid that just opened today and it's almost
entirely white with just a touch of pink around the edge of the
pouch. Again, not what I expected. It will be interesting to
see how the bloom changes over the next few days...or doesn't
change.

I have a Mountain Maid that just opened today and it's almost

pouch.

It's a photo in words Eric. It's a first bloom so the form
isn't perfect (close, but not quite) and the white seems to
be staying white. From Marilyn in case you want to check
out what she has. It also appears to be branching, but not sure yet.
