Nice, I like phals myself but can't grow them as well as I'd like to. Have 4 fans running 24/7 and many times still lose the growing point. Luckily many times they will make another growth.
Bob, have you ever tried to grow Phals. in a wood basket with loosely
packed NZ long fibered sphagnum? Works awfully well for me.

Angela, are you hanging these baskets and if so are the plant pointed up or hanging off of the side. I suspect the later.
My Phals. are sitting on a bench...well, most of them. I have several on
cork mounts padded with sphag. I rather like the roots running out of the
baskets because I assume from what I've read and heard from friends
in the places where Phals. grow naturally that they usually sit on branches
and the roots spread out everywhichway.

I think the biggest issue with phals is temperature. They seem to like it quite warm-to-hot. If kept moist, which they prefer.
I do much better with them now that they are outdoors in 90F and above. This morning was the first day that we’ve had an overnight temperature under 70F(69.8) since May.

Indoors, I grow mine with semi water culture as the humidity is low at 30-40%. It keeps roots constantly moist and I let dry for maybe a day.
Most of them are potted up in 3 layers: bottom inch LECA clay, middle layer orchiata mix (perlite and charcoal), upper layer is NZ spagnum moss (attracts arial roots into pots).
They each sit in plastic trays that is filled with water after watering. When it dries I water, usually every 3-4 days. See pics of my phals under these home conditions:
