Looks quite different from when I bought it last year. It was a bit paler but now I'm quite pleased with the color. Doesn't smell nice tho : / kinda astringent and turpentiney

I love the markings on this particular Phal. I have one and
it doesn't smell good, but it's not Bulbo stink at least.

The phal venosa I used to have smelled like charcoal briquettes; and I think my sumatrana kind of smelled mushroomy sort of

One of my first orchids…had it for ten years and then suddenly it went down. It was labeled sumatrana but its marks were very heiroglyphica…your plant is spectacular and makes me want another.

I know right. I feel like I'm in the jungle when I see this species. Especially a plant that's this vigorous.
