Phal Schilleriano-Stuartiana
(schilleriana 'Joy' X stuartiana 'Yellow 09')

First seedling to flower, about 6-7 inch leaf span in 1.7 inch pot $25
Right now only 1 plant available. It's listed in my online shop.

This is a remake of a primary hybrid. The reason I chose Phal schilleriana as pod parent is because 'Joy' is fragrant and easy to grow (should be a diploid since it is a stem prop of a wild plant). The yellow form of Phal stuartiana f. nobilis has not been as easy to grow. It is prone to crown rot. This flower just open a day or two ago. It will be interesting to see if the base color turn yellow gradually as f. nobilis does.

This seedling seems to have the pretty mottled foliage from Phal schilleriana. Nobilis type of Phal stuartiana does not have pretty mottled foliage. They are mostly green with a hint of mottled pattern.
As you can see in this seedling, the two leaves do not look the same. Brighter light seems to bring out prettier mottled leaves.
