This terrestrial from the lowland forest is also found at slightly higher elevations up to about 600 meters. The leaves are hard and thick. There is a tiny pseudobulb that sits just at or below the soil line and is always buried in leaf litter.
When I first saw this one I thought it was a mottled leaf Paph. :sob:
This might be Oeceoclades maculata.

Flower spikes are 12-24 inches tall and seeds germinate eaisly in the garden.

I think you're correct on that ID. I googled it to look for pictures and compare and I saw the species mentioned on an invasive species of Florida website. That would fit the whole seeds readily germinate thing.
