I wish I could claim skill but it’s luck to be honest! It’s on a west facing window so it’s bright a lot of the time (but not too hot, I live in Scotland after all!) and I’ve just kept it damp, not too wet, with regular fertilising. Keeping the old growth will be the next challenge I believeHow nice!I love this sp.!!!❤❤❤❤Any growing tip?
Thank you It is like malipoense!Beautifull - and what a long inflorescence!
Spectacular. Now do you self...or chop off the bloom and hope for clumping?First bloom for this, dorsal still to open a bit more but pleased to have got this far with it!
My instinct is to enjoy the bloom in case it doesn't happen again then hope for the best, but I would welcome any advice?Spectacular. Now do you self...or chop off the bloom and hope for clumping?
None to give. But I hope you can keep it going, one way or another. My instinct is to enjoy the bloom in case it doesn't happen again then hope for the best, but I would welcome any advice?
Thanks, I willI would enjoy it, too - nay, relish it! And cut it, immediately it starts to falter. You better wait to self it, untill it has grown stronger, in my opinion.
Thank youCongrats on the bloom. Colors very nice. Although the dorsal is cupped, we can't complain as it's flowering!
How big is the plant tip to tip? I have some here that are 15-20 cm total leafspan. Wonder if they are blooming size?
This is exciting news! I hope they will bloom by next year if they keep up the stable growing.Thank you
Mine is 22cm tip to tip so based on that I would say yes for yours
