Paphiopedilum violascens - first time blooming this species. I love it !
Got this plant just last year 2016 slipper symposium. Happy to see it bloomed quickly. Mottled foliage.

This plant is doing something very strange. Blooming again on an imature new growth.

I have a few species behaving this way. My take is that my culture was not optimum and the plant is going downhill. If not corected, the next shoot will even be smaller and may not flower during its blooming season.
