This one I acquired under a short stopover at Karge in August, last year, when my local orchid society was on a little Germany tour to Celle, Hannover and whereabouts. Industrial fellow - graced me with 4 flowers. If you click on the photo, you go to ImageShack - and if you click on the photo there, you will get a much better look!

Flower closeup:

Another flower in another light:

Plant in toto (sorry about the backlight...at this time of year the day light is rather low at these latitudes and this was the only place in my living room, where I could get an in-toto-shot):

NS: 7-8 cm; Dorsal width: 3-3,5 cm; Petal length: 6-7 cm (smallest to largest flower)

That is a nice red clone. Good purchase.

I have always read that villosum is one of the easiest species to grow and perfect for the beginner. Personally, I have found it one of the tougher species to grow from this group. I have a couple of clones that grow OK and flower occasionally but they never look like they are thriving.
