Why does this deformation occur? Last year it bloomed perfect

You should count yourself happy, that you have seen it flower in a normal way, i.e. It's not a genetic defect, that would repeat itself year after year.
Such deformations occur, sometimes due to cultural issues under the formation of the bud sometimes seemingly by coincidence.
As your clone certainly has very good colours, you will just have to mobilize your patience and hope for better luck next time round!
