yes, it grows best quite cool (15-20°C) but can tolerate from 10°C to 30°C with no problem as long as it's kept wet when grow warmer. Low salts are important, well draining compost too and low light
 
Nice, my favourite barbata species. Nice to know that the flower is long lasting. Really exotic looking.
 
Wow, I love it! This is the number one species on my wish list. I'd take this over a rothschildianum or kovachii. The flower is so alien and beautiful at the same time, it looks like it's from another planet. Such a unique look. Now if only I could find one...
 
The bloom and leaves are lovely, but I rarely see them in this country. I'd
love to try one. I take the statement back. Piping Rock has sangii, but the
price is pretty steep.
 
I've killed too many of these over the years but as Paul said, "low salts" I think is one of the major players in culture of this species.

I will try to self it but last time I've tried to cross with another sangii, I had no success... I hope it will work this time!!
