Here is one of my new acquisitions of last year:
5th foto is done in netural light for colour reference.

And again there is the effect that after a while the dorsal curls backwards. The first days after opening it was perfectly flat as in foto no. 6. (Sorry for the colour, it' my growlight)

Thanks to all! I'm very satisfied myself with it!

As good as purpuratums get!

You can't chastigate the poor plant for adhering to its innate and inherent nature!
I don't blame it for the effect, in fact I like it when flowers go 3-dimensional. Just mentioned it as we already had that discussion on other species.

Love that fifth photo. Very natural in terms of color.
Unfortunately without a tripod my pocket camera produce mostly blury fotos without flash.

Never get enough of this species. Glad you appreciate the dorsal doing exactly what it should.

Lovely P. purpuratum I like it very much, but I'm honest it's easy to like P. purpuratum.

.......And again there is the effect that after a while the dorsal curls backwards.
Tha's normal with purpuratum and you can't fight nature....even as an Archangle. Lol
