Looks awesome Uri! On my old piece of junk monitor, the pouch disappears completely into the black backdrop :) Its not your photo, its my monitor. I love the color of this one. For a long time I ignored the barbata species, but now I just love them.

WOW!
I have a few very small seedlings from my orchid society
and a small compot of about 6 seedlings I just acquired
a few weeks ago.

I sure hope they all bloom that nice.

This species can grow like a weed when its happy, but burn out fast when its dry.

This species is particullarly intolerant of low humidity conditions.

Thanks for the tip Rick.
I have a plant that didn't grow at all for the first 6 months after I got it ... then has taken 4 months to produce a new leaf 2 cm long ! From what you say I suspect my problem has been the humidity which has been difficult to keep > 60 all the time during the (hot) summer here ... particularly with the door open to cool things down.
Cheers,
Tim
