This is Paphiopedilum philippinense 'Ching Hua #31' SM/TPS x 'Super Twister' (PAS0532 from Orchid Inn). I got it from Denver last year. I think I got interested in Paphiopedilum about 18 years ago because of this species. I got one small seedling around that time, but it didn't survive the move to Alaska. Since then I haven't grown this species, but I'm excited to have a mature plant now!

Interesting descending spike! I love the petals and flower color. I hope these newer phils will be more resistant to rot. It seems like I’ve lost every one I’ve ever had to rot. Thanks for sharing

Very nice color and form of the dorsal. Sam just got an FCC on a tall stem and very long twisting petals. I have three in spike now. Thanks for sharing.

All the best to both naoki and eric - and thanks for sharing!

The long petals of the flowers of both your plants are simply adorable! And Erics plant is overwhelming in size. Congrats both of you!

Kind regards,
Jens
