Paphiopedilum Munchkin Ojo The Lucky (Memoria Matthew P Dewitt x delenatii). I made this cross back in 2015... this is the first to bloom. I’m surprised by the color. It’s very hard to photograph accurately.

With those parents I'm more surprised by the shape. Does it look like it may be multifloral from the Cochlopetalum parent? Intersectional crosses seem to give some strange outcomes.

Indeed an unexpected outcome.

I would have thought it was delenatii album crossed with a half album parent to get these colors. The pink pouches are usually dominant if both parents have it.

Perhaps both parents are half albums or albescents?? That is the most likely explanation.

Let’s see what other sibs flower out to be.

I can only join the chorus: an outcome, I wouldn't have guessed in a lifetime!

Interesting result in regard to its colouring... very chaste. The form as surprising as the colours, but very well balanced and harmonious!
