Maudiae 'The Queen' was / is reported to be the largest Green straight Maudiae ever flowered. BUT beware there are a large number of 'The Queen' on the market that are NOT 'The Queen', just look alikes. From the information I have, if it is a TRUE clone, it will not breed. Gideons flower looks very good although a little wavy in the dorsal. The petal tips reflex a little too much also but seasons and flowerings do make a difference.

Here is an example of what I mean. The first pic is from last years flowering. The second is what this years flower is like.
It is P.Redstart x Holdenii. The flower shape hasn't changed much but look at the color difference.

NOTE, the first pic is from a film camera and the second, digital but the colors here are very close to real. I know they look totally odd but the difference is amazing in the flesh.
