Paphiopedilum Emma Decker - Better Luck Next Time

After months of wait for the flower spike to mature and bud to open, I snapped my Emma Decker flower clean off. Grrr. The flower was tilting downward and I wanted to give it a slight upward tilt. Next thing I knew the flower was in the palm of my hand. It looks like it had potential. Maybe I will be more careful next time.

We've all done something like that I expect. It's a very nice flower regardless.

It does have a lot of potential. At least now it can rest and recover in preparation for the next bloom!

I wonder if the colour would fade with age.
