My paphiopedilum concolor is blooming.
I bought it last year at ebay.
It grows in a big pot.
I heard that the Thai breeder use
larger pots for the Paphiopedilums of the
subgenus brachipetalum.
I hav´nt repotted it yet. It is growing
very well.

no my Paph. concolor has only one new growth.
In the background you can see the growth of the last
year. It measures 23 cm from leaftip to leaftip.
The new growth has only 19 cm. In front the
next new growth arise.

Interesting is that my 2 concolors, that I have since several years now, are Very small (less than 15 cm leafspan)!!!

But I got one nice 3growths plant from Popow a few days ago with a LS of almost 30 cm!!! I was not aware that concolor could grow that large! Just curious to see this one in bloom!! Jean
