Your hybridizers were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn’t stop to think if they should.
It's an interesting hybrid for the sake of knowing what this sort of cross produces, and obviously I fully believe there are folks out there who would find this sort of thing to be highly desirable. Plus, who's to say this won't/can't be a stepping stone to something truly remarkable?
I got this off Roy many years ago. It is way better than I could ever have imagined. Many of the spikes have three flowers which is impressive given the small size of the growths and the parents involved. Not a hybrid I would have necessarily bought myself, but certainly one I will now find...
