This is one of my favorite species of Paphiopedilum... it’s on the compact side and forms a specimen size plant relatively quickly. I just deflasked 9 flasks of this plant with pollen from my Paphiopedilum Odette’s Enchantment ‘Changing Hearts’ AM/AOS. I think it’s going to be an exciting cross... should produce a lot of dark flowers.

Indeed beautiful. The dark pouch contrasts nicely with the white dorsal.

Can we see the whole plant with flowers? What is size of plant and flower?

Sad to say I don't have this form (yet), only a few nigritums.

Very nice color and form indeed. Congrats. Is the twisty stem natural for barbatum?

Hello gego
The stems are not normally twisted... I grow under lights and when the inflorescence starts getting too tall I have to move the pants to a table. Changing the direction of the light changes the direction of the inflorescence.[/QUOTE]
