Paphiopedilum Angela is a primary hybrid of Paph. fairrieanum x Paph. niveum, registered in 1910. Its a somewhat miniature Paph, with flowers about 7.5cm (3 inches) across, produced on an upright stem above a plant with a 20cm (8 inch) leafspan. This one came from Klehm Growers about 1992.

Very nice. Do you know if this is typical for the cross or is this an especially good clone?

I've yet to see an ugly Angela. I'd say this one is pretty typical. It's a nice, consistant cross. I had the pleasure of seeing one awarded one, I believe owned by Gold Country. Mine hasn't bloomed in a while. I'd better get it on my punishment schedule.

Well I want one with this soft coloration and it sounds the right size for my space. It goes on the list.
