Paph.Yellow Tiger...?

Labelled as Yellow Tiger, which should be platyphyllum x glanduliferum/praestans. But looking at the red pouch, dorsal stripes and compact plant I think this more likely was made using stonei instead of platy, which makes it Paph.Stone Praetorian. What do others think?
First two flowers are deformed and last is still lengthening it’s petals, but for a first flowering very happy with its potential for next time.

My first inclination when I looked at the picture was that it was stonei-ish. Whatever it is, it's very nice and a good flower count.

Could be. I'm not 100% certain either way. Most stonei x praestans that I have seen have a white dorsal like Lady Isabel.

Most stonei x praestans crosses are sold as Yellow Tiger.

All true David. Paph platyphyllum and praestans have colorless boring pouches so that's the main reason I would go with a stonei hybrid.

Yes, the name Stone Praetorian seems to be out of favour for these crosses, despite what the registration database says. As you say, most photos of Yellow Tiger I have seen do seem paler/whiter than this one, suggestive of ‘correct’ platyphyllum crosses.

After canvassing various opinions and tracking down the source of my plant, I've decided to label this one 'correctly' as Stone Praetorian (stonei x praestans) and try and buck the trend for calling these Yellow Tiger. Whether platyphyllum is just a variant of stonei or not, I think there is enough variation in the colour to recognise a true Yellow Tiger as distinct.
A losing battle considering the number of these out there, but oh well!
