First flowering seedling. Pretty happy with the outcome, especially on such a small plant.

Taiwanese breeding - philippinense 'AQ' x anitum 'Hsiao'

Very nice. How large do these plants get when mature?

This flowering seedling is very compact but will obviously get bigger in time. I haven't seen a larger specimen in the flesh but I expect they would just be like any of the other multi hybrids. It might depend on the type of philippinense used as they can vary greatly in size.

I think this is a hybrid that should be in every one's collection. The flowers are stunning. Super dark with very long petals. And the plant is easy to grow. Very vigorous. For some reason it doesn't seem to be widely grown amongst Slippertalk members. This hybrid is rarely posted.

'ats cuz they're dead.

The picture of your flowering plant has also inspired me to order one from Paph. Paradise. If mine blooms out as nice as yours I will be very happy!
