Paph wenshanese v semi album

I got this plant last November at slipper symposium. So nice to see it blooming again.

Beautiful!!! It's actually an album, not semi-album. Semi-album refers to no anthocyanin (colour), on the sepals and petals; but, with some on the lip. This flower has no anthocyanin at all = variety album.

"Semi-album" refers ONLY to white sepals and petals with a coloured lip. Therefore, this flower is NOT "semi-album". Personally, I'm not certain if red on the underside of the leaves is significant, or not; but, if this flower is not a true genetic album because of that, then, the varietal name has to be something other than {"album" and "semi-album"}.

Regardless of the exact varietal name, it's a very beautiful flower and you're lucky to have it. 'Wish I had one too!
