    I have always admired this species but somehow only got around to obtaining a seedling a couple years ago, which has now flowered for me. I'm happy it flowered true unlike my dayanum which bloomed out lawrencianum. volonteanum0419.jpg

    I've never grown this species but I like it a lot. Great color.

    It actually looks more like hookeri then volonteanum. Do you have a pic of the leaves, especially the underside?

    This and P. hookerae always look magical to me. Look like an otherworldly light is coming out of them. Love.
