My teeny-weeny boxallii fma attratum, that flowered earlier this year, exhausted itself and died on me (lesson learned: never, never allow such a small plant to bloom!).

Glad was I, when my last visit to my friend and mentor, Hans Christiansen, allowed me to buy a gorgeous P. villosum var boxallii as sort of a replacement:

Jens, that's a lovely replacement. As to your learned lesson...sometimes it's really damed hard to cut off a flower stem on a small plant and to do without its flower. But if you don't do it you will risk the welfare of the plant.
BTW, nice your recovery goes on and we have you back again here more often again.
