Hi Guys,
I just got a Paph Venustum as a delayed birthday gift..as beautiful as the plant foliage might be..it came with a nearly non-existent root system..just three nubs ..that's all..
Now even if we don't consider that it's a beautiful Paph native to my country, its a present. And I would very much love to save it.
As of now I have it in a small pot with 1:1 mix of coco chip and charcoal. It is hanging over a container semi-filled with water, so that the feet downs not get wet.
Am I doing the right thing or should I have done something else?
Also, if there is any, what are the special tips for Venustum?
Thanks,
Avik

Just be sure to keep the medium a little moist at the nubs. I might also put a little chopped sphagnum moss just under the nubs and keep that moist. The combination of CHC and charcoal might be medium-to-large, and if so, might need the sphagnum for something the roots can take hold in.

Good luck, and welcome to Slippertalk!
