Paph sukhakulii

[Paph Paradise]

Paph sukhakulii 'Cabernet'. This is seedling from a sibling cross made by Tetsu in Japan. Solid pouch color is something I have been looking for in this species.
The other flower on the plant was pollinated with a very dark flower that Leslie Ee was kind enough to share from a Tokyo Orchid Nursery plant.

Spectacular form on this flower, very balanced. Colour of the solid brown lip and the petal spotting are very good.

Tetsu has really good plants. I only ran into him the Sunday but managed to get a few nice plants from him. Hopefully more in the future.

I hope the mating takes. The two reverse cross you made on the two black petal sukhs at the Dome seem to be taking and the pods are fattening. Fingers crossed!
