Here is a first bloom photo of a sanderianum that I purchased last summer. So I will only take credit for keep it alive for 6+ months and getting it to bloom. I do have more from this same cross (but made at a later time) that I am growing from compot and probably have 5 years before blooming.

The Dorsal Sepal is 6.2cm high and 2.0cm wide and the petals are 62cm long. I like the color and presentation. The plant is 2 growths plus a start.

Sorry for the watermark, but too many people "borrow" photos for commercial purposes.

Very nice - any clonal names of the parents?

The cross is 'Jungle Monarch' x ‘Jungle King’. I believe Jungle Monarch is a wild collected plant and Jungle King is select plant from the cross of ‘Deep Flight’ x ‘Deep Pockets.’

I like it lots:drool:

Respectable petal length and very pretty dorsal sepals.

How fast did it take to get to this point once the bract first appeared?

Sanderianum is a sprinter in this area. It took about a month to open the first bloom from the time I noticed the bract just appearing.
