Now that the stress and rigor of the 19th WOC is a bit behind us, I thought it would be fun to share a photo of a wonderful seedling I found in bloom this morning. Every once in a while a seedling blooms that just has the power to put a big smile on one’s face, and this one has that effect for sure. I made this Paph. S. Gratrix is using the very consistant and reliable Paph. leucochilum ‘Matt Saftenberg’, AM/AOS crossed with a wild-collected Paph. bellatulum ‘Redwood’ I got many years ago. I hope you all enjoy it.

Spectacular!

thanks for sharing!

Frank it isn't perfect yet !!
Cross it again to get a long spike with at least 4 better 5 blooms at it !! That would be perfect !!
I'm just joking !! :rollhappy:
But let's get back to seriousness - it's a real beautiful flower with great colouration, just an eye catcher.
Best regards from Germany, GuRu

-Ernie (dangit, I mean Steve Jobs, it's difficult getting used to a new name... It's Steve, right Heather??? I know I got the Jobs part right :) )
