Yes, I've seen this on some of my other slippers and it doesn't usually reoccur. This one has 2 or 3 more buds coming behind this one. I think the flower has developed more blush on either side of the dorsal since this photo was taken too. The flower has a very heavy substance so I'm hoping that means that it's a long lasting bloom.

Funny, I don't care for either of the parents all that much, but the combination I do like.

Is it showing any more buds coming?

Pinocchio can flower for years on a single spike. That would be a great trait to pass on with this really nice flower.:clap:

Ooops if I read more carefully you do have some more buds coming. Let us know how many flowers you ultimately get on this spike.
