I was repotting this clone more than 10 years ago when a very tiny new growth fell off. It would have been as small as you would get out of a flask. I repotted that small growth and now it is flowering for the first time more than a decade later. The main parent plant ended up getting rot and died. So it was a good thing I went to all that effort.

Beautiful! Hard to find this species any more; it's been bred out of existence, hybridized with philippinense to the end of it. It's where the twisty petals come from. Older sources showing the true philippinense show it without the corkscrew petals. But if you see one with corkscrew petals, there's roebbelinii in it!
