the first paph munchkin ojo the lucky flower opened this morning with at least 2 buds to follow. i suspect this will lighten up to full white with green accented dorsal. i have another also in bud with a darker sheath and am very excited to get to compare the two. it's flower is small in comparison to the burki, but the plant isn't exactly compact.

For anyone interested and because it has somewhat unexpected ancestry ... This hybrid is Paphiopedilum Mem. Matthew P. Dewitt × Paphiopedilum delenatii

The ancestral make-up is:

Paph. delenatii 50.00%
Paph. primulinum 25.00%
Paph. glaucophyllum 18.75%
Paph. sanderianum 6.25%

I never would have guessed it's got sanderianum in the background. Of course there is such a small dose and its matched with other species that tend to be pretty dominant, so it's completely understandable that there's minimal influence on the flowers.

I'd love to see a photo of the foliage if you have time and are willing to share! The flowers may not be the most exciting, but I can see that it must have some very lovely variegated leaves. I bet it is worth growing just for that.

hi! the last attachment (without a preview) contains a peek at the leaves. they are indeed variegated and lovely. i will take some better shots in the daylight tomorrow. 😊

i want to say it bloomed much faster than any other plant i have in bud at the moment. i would have never guessed sanderianum in its makeup! that’s one i didn’t see coming.

i love love love that this intersectional is behaving like a sequential. i am hoping this cross will put out more buds as it grows, but 3 is already a lot to ask from a bloom sized seedling. heh!

Hello
I've bloomed a number of these before I started selling them. Frequently three sequential blooms. They come in pink also.
