yeah there's two from the original grex out there still: FCC/RHS (later given then clonal name 'G.S. Ball', and out there alternately under 'Ball's Variety'), and a yellowish clone called 'Luteola'. As a cross of barbatum x villosum, I assume there was a good degree of variability in the grex in terms of color. The grex was registered in 1869.

Incidentally, Harrisianum is an important parent in complexes, through crosses with insigne and spicerianum. There are several "famous" offspring as well - Saint Alban 'Nettie' B/CSA and HCC/ODC and Gigas 'Corndeanii' AM/RHS 1896 (alternately called 'Corndean Hall') come to mind.

I have all of these plant - I'll post pix as they open. :) they tend to be late summer bloomers, although sometimes Harrisianum flowers in the winter season as well.
