First malipoense flowers to open in my care - bought with low buds though. Bifloral
First flower got brown spots before it was open
Sadly there's no smell at all.

Congrats!I hate this sp.very very slow like a snail, from shaeth to booming takes at least 6 month and tends to drop down its bud.This year i found the secret: low temp, high humidity and just a little watering.

Yeah, I have the same issues with this hybrid. After such a long painful wait, the bud drops off when it's finally opening up.
Unfortunately, I grow indoor and have no way of keeping the temp cool and humidity high enough. I'm still holding onto my malipoense plants for leaves. For now...

Oh noooooooooooo... I just blasted 3 acmodontums and I’m sporting a very unhappy face indeed
