2 spikes with a total of 12 flowers this year. I am happy about it’s performance.

What a clever plant...and so well behaved! Must be the good parenting!

Impressively grown!

Kind regards,
Jens

It was a wild plant long long time ago. It can be distinguished by its gigantic in size, as compared with the smaller seedling size.

I always love how untamed and wild this species' flowers look. I remember when I first learned about it back in the 90's and how much I wanted one until I actually saw how large they grow. Definitely one for my "if I ever get a greenhouse" list, but not really feasible for someone growing on wire shelves in limited space and a desire for lots of different species and hybrids.

There's always room for more orchids!
