I’m trying to decide if I like the flower or not. The shape is not bad but the colors are rather dull. It’s trying to decide if any virens is in it.

At the same, not a common species to see often these days. So for that alone, I enjoy seeing it.

It would be interesting to see the rest of flask bloom out.
 
i would have expected at least one to show some 'frosted tips' ;-)

So interesting. I have a piece of the dark western form that I’m still trying to get to root 2 years after it arrived as “well-established division.” Now down to 3 young leaves. Sigh. Anyway, this photo is pretty much the opposite of my purported orange-red/dark green flower.
