Very cool. My P. helenae is just starting to spike up. Maybe it's due to the difference in climate and growing conditions.

I was told this was a finicky species, but in my conditions it seems to be pretty care free. That alone makes it one of my favorite species. The fact that it's a miniature grower and bloomer is icing on the cake. Plus, I love the yellow tones!

love love love this teeny tiny bloom! less color in the pouch and petals than the first bloom, but the smaller stature won me over. second helenae from springwater orchids. 😊

Beautiful! Good to know it's fast from bud to bloom, mine is finally in low spike, so fingers crossed it doesn't blast and I get to see some blooms soon!

That's a really nice little helenae, even with its beauty mark. I love how it stands so tall above the wee foliage.

Nice variation you have there. Are they all from the same cross, or different parents?

All different parents. 1) Exotic Plant Co, 2) Springwater Orchids, 3) Deerwood Orchids. I have 3 more helenae that didn't go into bud this year that I hope to be able to compare next round of blooms. 😊 🤞
