You mentioned it's a reliable bloomer so this isnt the first flower, isn't it. The flower of your plant is high above the almost horizontal foliage. Many gratrixianum that I know, also mine which is flowering at the moment too, have a more upright foliage and therefore the flowers 'hide' a bit between the leafs.
