First flowering of this one, happy with how it has come out, hopefully the next bud will be the same

It was sold to me as glaucophyllum but I believe that moquettianum used to be a variation but is now a separate species but Im unsure of the differences?

I agree with Ozpah: P. glaucophyllum var. moquetteanum - the difference from var. glaucophyllum: "...having usually longer, broader leaves ... and a longer scape with fewer, larger flowers ... The dorsal sepal is usually narrower, longer ... and yellow finely speckled witf purple." (Cribb, 1998)

I really would like to know whether there is general consensus among botanists in accepting this variety as a separate species?

Judging from morphology alone, it seems to me, that the grounds for raising it to species rank are slight - might it just be yet another skirmish in the ongoing war between taxonomic gatherers and spreaders?

Kind regards, Jens
