The tag says micranthum x malipoense, though it took the green colour of the malipoense. The plant came from Ching Hua Orchids, from Taiwan.

The plant fell off the windowsill, so the stem snapped before the bud was fully opened. :mad: So this bloom developed in a vase. The bright side is that the first bloom plant saved its energy on the bloom development. Hopefully the colour improves next time, perhaps it was influenced by the lack of nutrients in the vase. The pouch suffers from mechanical damage from the fall.

We have seen many great Fanaticums on this forum lately!


 
This is very nice. It took more on the Paph. micranthum than Paph. malipoense.

That's lovely, Fren. You are probably right about the energy now being able to go into plant growth. Next year, it will be spectacular.
